It's hard to believe I have been a former fetus for a month already. My mom and I celebrated by meeting up with some friends for my first play date. Here are some pictures taken by my new friend Bekka:
My mom giving me an afternoon snack. It's no boob, but it does the trick.
A somewhat milk drunk baby...I tried to keep my composure since we were in public.
Me and Mom after my burps.
Me with my first friend and play date. His name is Coby and he is 5 months old. My mom went to school with his mom, Holly.
Coby: "Dude that's not how you ham it up for the camera! Here, let me put my arm around you."
Carson: "Are you like another baby or something? Hey--what's up there?"
Coby moving in for the hug.

Time Flies...
Today is my one month birthday. To celebrate and thank my parents for being to good to me, I have decided to start sleeping through the night. Seriously. My mom said I shouldn't tell people because all the other parents might hunt her down and beat her up, but I want to brag on myself. Monday night, my dad put me to bed at 11:00 pm and I slept until 7:00 am. My parents were so freaked out that they woke up at 5:00 am and couldn't go back to sleep because they were afraid something had happened to me. Dad finally checked on me, and obviously I was okay. Then, last night (Tuesday), I went to bed at 10:00 pm and slept until 7:30 am. Again, my mom woke up at 4:30 because she is just so used to it. I'm sleeping better than they are now!
Yesterday, I went to the doctor for some personal issues (concerning my diaper, if you must know...) and they said I now weigh 10 lb and 2 oz. That means that I have gained 34 oz in the 28 days that I have been home from the hospital. It's all muscle...and belly.
Also, lots of people have been emailing my mom and asking about me and about her health. She is having a hard time catching up on her email, so she wanted me to tell you guys that we are doing great. She is completely over one infection and is working her way through the other. She is feeling much better this week and obviously all of that crap has not hurt my growth and development--and that is what's important, right?
She also wants me to tell you guys that Dad is trying to fix her camera and she'll get some new pictures up as soon as she can.

Big Toothless, Gummy News... (and did I mention the dimples?)
I smiled today.
My mom turned my name into a song and I thought it was pretty cool so I let her know. At first she thought I was pooping, but I wasn't. I was just smiling cause I felt like it.
Hopefully Dad will be able to fix her camera and she can catch me doing it, then she'll post it so you can see too. Evidently it is really cute and something to be excited about.

Bad habits...
It's true that I am as close to perfect as a baby can get, but every guy has his flaws. For example, I like to do nasty things to my parents. When my mom changes my diaper, I like to pee. My Aunt Lauren got me something called a "pee pee tee pee," but it doesn't do much good. It's a little fabric cone that fits over my "special area" specifically so I don't pee in my mom's face when she changes me. Like I said, it doesn't work that well. She's pretty fast though. I've only hit her once and that was when my dad was changing me in the hospital. You can ask Jeff and Becky about that one. It was like a sprinkler. First I hit Babushka, then I circled over to my mom and got her right in the face...and the mouth. Somehow Dad was spared--even though he was the idiot who didn't cover me up. Mom got her revenge this morning though. My dad was holding me and I started nuzzling his beard like I always do when I am hungry. He thought I was being very sweet and I couldn't let him think I'd turned all soft, so I spit up on his face. His cheek was covered. It was awesome. He swears I smiled for the first time after that. I'll never tell.
