Happy Bi To Me!

"Bi" because it is only 1/4 of a birthday...get it? Gees, that sounds like a joke my dad would tell. Anyway, today I am 3 months old! Isn't that amazing? My mom thinks so. So, anyone who wants to wish me a happy 0.25th birthday can send gifts and/or cash to -- Oh wait...sorry, my mom is telling me not to be so greedy. She thinks I have all I need. Oh well...you can't blame a kid for trying.

PS
My mom is going to try to get video of me practicing my latest trick. Stay tuned...it's pretty cute. Big surprise, right?

Bad and Good and Bad News...

Bad news: You know my mom's camera that keeps breaking? Well, it is broken again.

Good news: Dad found out that the camera has been recalled, so he sent it back and they are sending Mom a brand new camera!

Bad news: No pictures until Mom gets her new camera...and who knows when that will be.

Possible good news: Mom might be able to steal Dad's camera every now and then. We'll see...

Re: Birthday Suit Video

Well that's disappointing! My mom and dad filmed like 2 minutes of me having fun in the bath, but only a few seconds showed up. Oh well...something happened to the file so they'll just have to try to capture the moment again during another bath time. In the meantime, just imagine the video you just saw with bath toys, splashing, smiles and coos.

It's Somebody's Birthday Somewhere Ya'll!

So I had to pull out the old birthday suit!
I just know that my mom's going to play this one on a loop at my rehearsal dinner...

Maxin' and Relaxin'

I know how upset you guys get when I don't post new pictures so I thought I would give you a little peek at some serious eye candy: me.

Oh What A Mother Will Do...

...to entertain her child...and herself. Mom went a little overboard with this one. Daddy thinks it is hilarious and made me post it. It's okay, I guess. It's certainly not my best work. I do, however, give my audience a little surprise at the end.

Future Playdates...

Back in March, when I was still just a fetus in my mom's belly, I went on a weekend trip with some of my mom's high school girlfriends and the fetuses in their bellies (two of them, anyway). As of today, the last of those fetuses was born. Michaela Mae weighed in at 8 lbs. 1 oz. and she was 20" long. I am so excited to meet her...and her mommy Olivia. The other fetus, Carlo, was born on July 5th, I think. I am really excited to meet him too. I think my parents are going to have to take me to their old neighborhood in Brooklyn soon so I can meet Carlo and his folks, Lina and Nick--and so I can see Prospect Park and the Botanical Garden and Aunt Rachey and so much more!...maybe this Fall. Don't worry--I'll be sure to take pictures.

Welcome to the world, Michaela! Don't worry...you'll get used to it.

My First Day Trip

Sure I've been out shopping and doing things away from home for most of the day. I've even been on a week-long vacation. But last Sunday, I took my first real day trip. My parents and I drove up to Gillette Castle. It's a castle built by some crazy, eccentric actor/playwright at the turn of the century. It's a pretty cool place. I slept in the car the whole way there and back, which pleased my folks, because I don't like being in the car very much. Everyone says babies like cars, but I constantly strive to be different, as you all know by now. So anyway, it was a cool trip. I had fun. Hey--did I mention that I got to take a ferry too?

Here are some pictures from my adventure:

Well Rested and Oh So Cozy

Hi, everyone! Poki here.

I had a great night's sleep last night--and so did my mom! She got 7 straight hours! She was so happy and full of energy (and milk) when we woke up that she gave me my breakfast and then we went straight out for a walk. It was only 52 degrees so she had to really bundle me up. I was so cozy that I went right back to sleep for another 3 hours. (I've had a tummy ache for a few days so I haven't been sleeping that well--until today!)

Have I told you that I have a favorite toy? Ever since I was born, I have just sort of liked my toys. I stare at them occasionally in half-interest. But now I have discovered one of them, and boy do I love it! It's my bear-blanket. It's half bear, half blanket. It was a gift from my Aunt Christian. It's furry and soft. My mom rubs it against my belly and I just smile and smile. We did that some this morning while we waited for Daddy to wake up and shower. It's pretty much my new favorite thing to do.

Here are some pictures from my morning:

Me bundled up in my too-big jacket.

Me, super cozy and VERY asleep in my stroller. I somehow managed to twist my hat around.

Me and my bear-blanket, caught in the act of some big time snuggling.

Well that's about all for now. I'm going to start crying now to get my mom to feed me. Later.
