You all know that I am super cute, devilishly handsome and smooth as a jungle cat, but did you know that I am also very sweet? Well I am. I love giving my mom kisses, and today, I gave my friend Bobo kisses too. Take a look:

Or ...Savion #2
Maybe I'm a future Savion Glover instead. Mom wouldn't mind having a famous tap dancer for a son!

Misha # 2
Did you know that my parents almost named me Mikhail? Like Mikhail Baryshnikov, one of my mom's favorites. Well, my mom has a not-so-secret fondness for my near-perfect dancers feet. I know, I know...you all probably think it is girly. I don't really care. I like practicing at my make-shift ballet barre. Maybe I will be the next Misha after all. Just look at my relevés!

Independence
Well, I'm growing up. It's true. I can feed myself finger foods...
And I can also drink my milk all by myself too...and I only spill a little.
It might have something to do with the teeth. (Which are still hard to capture on film, but they are there!) Here is a picture when they were just starting to come in.

Makeover
My girlfriend Scarlett gave her blog a makeover, and since I have to do everything Scarlett does (such as crawl, eat finger foods, and cruise), I made over my blog too. With robots! I love robots...almost as much as my daddy.
So check out the new digs! Hope you guys like it!

Just The Beginning...
In an effort to better refine my palate, my mom thought she would move outside of the narrow Gerber box and make me some baby food herself. Good idea, right? Well, last night, she made me some avocado and some black beans. "Baby Mexican," she called it. Maybe it needed some salsa and sour cream because I didn't like it very much. The avocado was okay at first, but after a couple of bites I refused to eat anymore. So she moved on to the beans. Oh man. That stuff really gave my gag reflex a workout! Mom got it all on video, but she isn't going to post it because it makes her too sad. Plus, she is embarrassed because you can hear her whining: "My cooking isn't that bad!" Face it, Mom...this is just the beginning of a lifetime of my refusing to eat the food you slaved over. Just wait until I can talk and you get the "I don't wanna eat this!" whine.
I don't have any photos of the "Baby Mexican" incident, but I do have some silly pictures of me pretending to be a dog and carrying my socks around in my mouth.
Yes, I will eat socks, but I won't eat my Mom's homemade baby food. What does that tell you?

Toofers!
That's right, I said tooferS. Two teeth! I have been working on these teeth for months and let me tell you, it has been rough. My mom has practically had me on a Motrin drip just to get me through it. But now we have some pay off: TEETH! I have one that is out and ready to sprout up tall. The second one is showing its little spikes and trying to catch up to the first. As soon as they are a little more visible when I smile, I'll have Mom take my picture so I can show off my toothy grin!

Sickypoo
Yep, I'm still a big ol' sickypoo. My mom has done anything she could to keep me happy, but it's not easy. I don't feel good. We started off the morning by playing my new favorite game: Horse on Mommy's Head. She puts my horsey on her head and sings "Horsey, Horsey go to town! Horsey, Horsey don't fall down!" and let's it fall on the floor. I think it is really funny. After about 30 minutes of making her sing it over and over again, she decided it was time to play "Horse on Poki."
Then, during lunch, Mom decided to let me play with my food. She poured some cereal, spinach and sweet potato on my highchair tray and let me smear it all around.
After that, we took a much needed bubble bath. Mom was in the bath with me, so there aren't any pictures of that, but here I am after my relaxing soak.

Gymboree, Part Deux
Scarlett's mommy sure knows how to capture my baby blues! Here are some pictures that she took of me at my Gymboree playdate with Scarlett:
I got about halfway through the tunnel before I decided to turn around and crawl out the way I came in. I didn't really get how the thing worked--but I still had fun!

A Very Busy Weekend!
Hey, folks! Poki here. Sorry it has been a few days. Boy, have I been busy. First of all, I'm sick. Yep. I have a cold. My mom thought that I had a cold before, but now she thinks that was just the sniffles, because this is a cold. So, I'm not feeling that hot. But that hasn't slowed me down one bit!
As most of you know, I started crawling last week. I have been trying really hard to catch up with my girlfriend Scarlett , so I got to crawling. Well, now she's cruising, so what do I do? I start cruising too. I've really been practicing and I think I am getting pretty good.
I've also been working out. I've taken up Capoeira. That's Brazilian Street Fighting. It looks alot like dancing though. If you aren't familiar with it, click here . Here's my take on it:
You would think that would be enough, but I've also started doing some chores to help around the house:
I still make time for my friends though.
This Sunday, I had brunch with Danielle, Doug, Beth and Joe. I was feeling very sick, so I wasn't much fun to be around, but they still thought I was cute. And as long as the Dog was around, I was happy. Have I told you how much I love animals? My mom thinks I'm going to be a Veterinarian when I grow up. Here are some pictures from our brunch:
Me with Danielle and Doug
Me with Danielle
With Beth
And Joe (he entertained me for a large chunk of our visit...we bonded)
And finally, Django, my favorite part about brunch!
Then today, I went to Gymboree with Scarlett and her Mommy, Lauren. My mom took so many pictures, but none of them were really great except this cute one of me and my girlfriend.
To hear more about our day, and to see some really great pictures, click here .
After Gymboree, I passed out in the car. Here is a picture of me looking adorably sleepyheaded in the new hat Mom made me. Seriously, people...how cute am I?
That's pretty much it for now. I'll be back soon!

Tiiiiimbeeeeeer!
Mommy is almost as good at designing buildings as Daddy! Just look at the magnificent tower!...Yes, just look at it...Are you as drawn to it as I am?...It's like a magnet...I must resist...but I can't resist...I can't resist...

Higher, Max! Higher!
That's what I would say if I could. This morning, Mom went fishin' for kitties with a toy fishing rod and she caught a Max! I thought it was so funny. After a while of watching Max play, I wanted to play too.

And So It Begins...
...the constant tormenting of kitties. Now that I can crawl, the chase is on. My mom knew this day would come. I hoped this day would come. In fact, the only two that might not have seen it coming are Max and Leroy...and I think they may have had a sneaking suspicion.
Oh, Maaaaax...Here kitty, kitty!

8 MONTHS!!!
Today is my 2/3 birthday. I celebrated by sleeping in until 9:00 am ...but I also woke up 3 times last night. The first time I woke up, it took my mom a long time to get me back to sleep. We all have colds in my house, so Mom was afraid I was feeling sick. Finally, she got me back to sleep and she went back to bed herself. She crawled into bed and looked over at the clock and guess what time it was? 1:11 am! The exact time that I was born. I really just wanted to keep Mom awake long enough for her think about me at that time. So she started thinking about 8 months ago, when I was a tiny baby and first came into the world. She really should have known I would be a strong little monkey even then, because when I was first born, the nurse put me on Mom's chest and I lifted my head, turned to look at Mom, turned back and gently placed my head back on her chest. I've always been super strong. Mom had a very nice time remembering all those things about my birth...and then I woke up again.
This morning, I played in the playpen and watched Mom fix me a late breakfast.
"A" is for Ate Months! ...What? It's spelled with an "E"...? Well, that doesn't make any sense.
Then, after my breakfast, I got a birthday cookie...which I looked at, and then promptly threw on the floor. Babies should not have cookies for breakfast.
Then I played for a little while, but I was already so worn out that I just went to sleep.
How cute am I with my little booty stuck up in the air?
All this before noon! I wonder what the rest of my 2/3 birthday will be like...

Kid City!
We went to Kid City today and let me tell you: The name says it all! I hope that Scarlett doesn't feel betrayed, but I went to another children's museum with another woman...Penelope. Scarlett, don't worry--Pippi really only noticed me when I arrived and when I left. Otherwise, she was busy playing. I'm way too young for her.
Here are some pictures from our super fun day:
First we went into a room of mirrors and looked at a bunch of babies that look just like me.
Then I looked at some trains...
But I wanted a closer look...
Then I learned to count using an apple abacus.
But that was too hard, so I decided to use a cash register instead.
Then I went on the see-saw with Daddy...
while Penelope went down the big kid slide.
Then her daddy went down the big kid slide too. I thought he was too big...but he made it. He sure is freakishly flexible.
Then we all went to the music room and played drums on the wall...
and played peek-a-boo with Pippi and her daddy.
Then Daddy and I flew in a hot air balloon through the Alps.
And Pippi and her dad climbed the Alps.
I just climbed my daddy.
Then Daddy and I sailed a ship, but Daddy didn't like how I steered, so...
he made me walk the plank.
Those sharks would have gotten me if Mom didn't swoop down in her flying saucer and rescue me!
Pippi navigated...
But we knew we wouldn't be able to make it home without the CIA tailing us, so I drove my VW instead.
We picked up Penelope and with just a slight adjustment to the rear-view mirror, we were off for home.
Whew! What an eventful day! And almost all of it happened exactly how I described!
