Did I mention that Granny and Mimi weren't the only grandmothers I saw in Tennessee? Babushka was in town for the first few days of my visit and I saw Babi a bunch too! Here are a couple of pictures of me and my paternal grandmother and great grandmother.
I also discovered something at Granny's house that I like almost as much as Babi's cane: a canopy bed.

I swear...you can snap your fingers and get this kid to laugh - what a happy boy. If I was dragging Scarlett's noggin under the fringe of a bed canopy I would get a look of utter disgust from her - accompanied by a "come on, mom - fringe?! That's supposed to be funny?!" (she wouldn't say that, of course, but it would be written all her face. All over.)
